This stunning Foster Creek Farm wedding we shot back in June still has me captivated. The day was as beautiful as the decor was stunning. However, what ultimately stuck with me was how much love these two had for one another.
Last year these two traveled all the way down from Bozeman to Idaho Falls, so we could capture their engagement session. From the moment we met them, we knew just how fun these two lovely humans were.
Their wedding day started at the beautiful Foster Creek Farms, where their ceremony and reception would be held. It all took place on a somewhat cloudy day in Montana. Russell had gotten ready in a small cabin on the property with all of his Groomsmen. Korey and her Bridal party were getting ready just a few yards away in a separate cabin.
Korey and Russell wanted their first look to be special. They wanted to be able to read each other their vows privately before their ceremony. When they were finished getting ready, they met on the balcony of the Foster Creek barn. It was such a sweet moment, seeing each other for the last time as an engaged couple. After their thoughtful and moving vows, we headed up the hill top above the property for their ceremony.
The ceremony took place overlooking some of the most beautiful landscapes in Montana. The mountains surrounded them creating a scene almost as magical as they were. Against the backdrop of their floral archway courtesy of Amber Everly Design, the Rivers began their journey as newlyweds.
Afterwards, the guests headed back down the hill to enjoy the cocktail hour. The reception was filled with love. The love they had for each other. The love they had for their friends and family, and the love that everyone felt for them.
It was also filled with laughs. From Russell’s hilarious stories of Korey’s compassion for her tens of cats and chickens, to Korey’s quick-witted response about Russell and his obsession with lawn care. After the speeches, the guests partied the night away to the music played by the incredible band Gina and The Wildfire.
After allowing them to enjoy their company, we took them out to be captured alone for the first time as husband and wife. Under the light of the blue hour sunset, we couldn’t help but notice how obvious it was that they were destined for each other. Their epic love story has only just begun, but it has already been written to perfection.
xx Michael
