Fall Wedding at Beacon Hill – Jackie + RJ

We first met up with Jackie and RJ for their engagement photos in Seattle on a chilly January day. They told us a bit about how they met. Although they had gone to Gonzaga together, they didn’t properly get to know each other until RJ slid into her DM’s after they had already graduated. Although Jackie had been living far away at the time, they had some amazing dates when she flew up to Seattle to see him. After a bit, they knew that what they had was special, and they made the leap to be together. Jackie moved up to Seattle, and after a few years RJ and Jackie began making their plans to tie the knot with a fall wedding at Beacon Hill.

The Ceremony at St. Aloysius

RJ and his crew arrived to St. Aloysius, and we took some photos of their party before Jackie headed over. Once we got the call that Jackie and her party were on their way, the guys headed inside to one of the rooms to hide away. When Jackie got there, we took some photos of her wedding party, then some bridal photos since we had a bit of time to kill. After that, Jackie headed in to her hideaway room and the guests began arriving on the party buses.

The wedding ceremony began in the beautiful church, St. Aloysius on the Gonzaga campus. It was important for Jackie and RJ to get married there, as it was where their love story began. The guests took their seat in the intricately designed chapel, and the wedding party began making their way down the aisle. Finally, the huge wooden doors opened and Jackie appeared alongside her mother and her father.

They carefully pulled her veil back and began heading down the aisle, as RJ looked at her with so much love in his eyes. They both glowed with happiness as Jackie finished the walk down the aisle, and the ceremony began. Jackie and RJ made their way through the rituals of the ceremony, eyes sparkling and giggling together until they finally were pronounced man and wife. They then happily made their way back down the aisle, and down the steps of the church to their waiting guests.

After the ceremony, we spent some time taking photos with Jackie and RJ’s family members and loved ones. Then everyone loaded up on to the busses and we headed over to Beacon Hill to begin the evening with the reception.

Dreamy Fall Wedding Reception at Beacon Hill

As everyone arrived for the fall wedding at Beacon Hill, Jackie and RJ stole away to a room in the back of the event center to wait to be announced and for the reception to begin. Once announced, the dinner service began.

After making sure they were well fed, we grabbed Jackie and RJ as the sun began to set and took some photos. We didn’t want to pull them away from the party for too long, just long enough for them to enjoy some time alone together. After they danced and laughed and ran around together for a little while, we headed back towards the party to kick off the rest of the celebrations.

The night grew dark, and the party stretched on into the night. The guests danced together alongside Jackie and RJ, enjoyed some time in the photo booths, and had some late night treats which included the coolest little ice cream truck.

As the night began to come to a close, the guests trickled off of the dance floor and towards the parking lot where the buses would be picking them up to head back to their hotel. When the reception space cleared, Jackie and RJ headed on to the dance floor for one last private dance to close out the night. They danced together under the romantic string lights and the twinkling stars, taking a moment to themselves before they started their journey as newlyweds. As the music died down, they took each others hands then made their way over to their waiting loved ones and walked through the glowing lights towards the next chapter of their lives.
