We’ve known Ally and Brendon for years. Ally and I attended middle school and high school together. Between sharing classes like American Sign Language, to hanging out with the same group of friends, Ally and I have been friends for quite some time. We all went to the same schools, so Jackie was in the same class as Brendon, and Ally and I were also great friends with Brendon’s younger brother, Devon. With many years of shared friendships, it seemed fitting to be asked to capture their intimate Donnelly wedding.
Knowing Ally and Brendon before their relationship was great. Although we lost touch over the years, we remained friends on social media. It has been amazing to see them start their journey together. From dating, becoming engaged, to having their beautiful baby boy, Jackson, these two were absolutely destined to having a beautiful wedding day.
Ally and Brendon decided that an intimate Donnelly wedding would be perfect for them. Brendon’s grandparents graciously allowed them to use their cabin and barn. Ally and her bridesmaids would get ready in the cabin, and Brendon and his groomsmen would get ready at a hotel in McCall.
As the day began, Ally spent her morning getting her makeup and hair done. Their family and friends spent the morning setting up outside. After Ally had gotten her dress on, Brendon was eagerly waiting to see his bride for the first time.
Ally walked down the aisle holding her flowers that were so beautifully prepared by Foxglove and Fern Floral. The two then beautifully recited their vows to one another, as their friends and family finally watched them say “I do”.
After the ceremony, everyone was free to begin eating and drinking as much as they possibly could. Off the Grid Pizza provided amazing all-you-can-eat brick oven pizza in a food truck, (I know pretty f*cking amazing). And dessert was provided in the form of an awesome donut wall. Speeches were made, conversations were had, and people drank their asses off (until about 9:30 or so when they felt it was time to head off as not only newlyweds, but two loving parents).
But before their send off, we were able to pull them aside, jump a fence or two, and take some beautiful sunset photos running through their family’s large pasture. It was clear to us just how perfect these two were for each other. Knowing them as teens and seeing them come and grow together, it really was the perfect ending to the start of the rest of their lives.
xx Michael
